Hi, my name is Jamie Laubbacher and I'm 18 years old. I was born, and grew up in Zurich, Switzerland and at the age of 7, moved to Perth, Australia.
As of this year, I am a year 12 student attending Perth Modern School. Currently I am completing ATARs in the following subjects:
Math Specialist, Math Methods, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, French and English.
I also have many hobbies including table tennis, classical guitar, and of course chess.

I first learnt the rules of chess when I was 8 years old and for a while, only played casually.
It was only until late 2017, where I started developing a real passion for the game.
As a result, I have now been practicing for slightly over 4 years and have in that time, seen my rating go from 1146 (my first ever rating) to 2302 as of the last rating update in September 2021.
